This is your official invitation to the all new FUEL (Faithful Unashamed Examples for the Lord). As we pray God’s best for those that have brought us so far, we are ready to also pray God’s blessings for our future. I am hoping that you will be a part of our exciting future. Here is just a little of what we will be doing in 2007!

Monthly Ministering: God has done so much for our church, our families, and our youth group! It is time to return thanks by way of reaching out! Every month we will pursue an opportunity to minister to others. We will do outreach door-to-door surveys in which we invite people to think of the big questions in life through listening. Once they see our genuine interest, concern and love for them, we will have built a relationship in which we can continue to evangelize. We will have work days both for our elderly and our church. We will work with the Mayor of our city to find areas in which we can be known for our heart for others.

Reward Fellowships: Everything we do on earth has ramifications for eternity. One aspect of ministering is reward. Anyone that ministers in a particular month will have the opportunity to fellowship through bowling, pizza parties, skating, laser-tag, and Cedar Point. Other rewards for verse memory and visitor contests will be substantial and well worth your best efforts!

Missions: We will adopt a missionary praying for them and finding ways in which we can be an encouragement. We will have fund raisers all year long to earn enough to attend an annual missions trip. Training for this trip will begin several months before we depart so that everyone has an area of expertise such as VBS story telling, registration, running games, running crafts, inviting and witnessing.

Retreats: Several times a year we will seek a closer walk with Christ through the Christian camp experience. These will be cost affordable and very worth the time invested.

Many of these things that I’ve just mentioned we have wanted to implement for some time; unfortunately, they have not been the priority they should have been. Our youth program must be a priority since teens are the future leaders of this church. I want you to know that every aspect of our Teen program will be done with excellence! We will do what we plan as God leads. The FUEL program on Thursday nights will be exciting, fun, and most importantly, make a spiritual impact on your heart! Be praying that during this time of transition we will dedicate ourselves to improving upon what we already have, and strive to do more for the Kingdom of Christ!

Ben Rathbun
